Nürburgring Nordschleife

Germany · 20.8 km · 73 corners
About this track

Nicknamed the 'Green Hell' by Jackie Stewart in 1968, the Nordschleife winds through the Eifel forest for 20.8km and 73 corners, carved into the landscape by 3,000 workers between 1925 and 1927. Niki Lauda's fiery crash at the Bergwerk corner during the 1976 German Grand Prix — which he survived and returned from six weeks later — marked the end of Formula 1's full-length races here, but the circuit remains motorsport's ultimate test of car and driver.
