When you import a LapTrophy session file, we read your GPS position and timestamps to
reconstruct where you were on track and when. From that, we compute:
Sector times — by detecting exactly where your GPS path crosses
each track's split points. Speed and acceleration — from how your position changes over time. Lean angle — estimated from how sharply your path curves at a given
speed. This is an estimate, not a measurement: LapTrophy phone/GPS recordings don't
include real accelerometer data, so we can't measure lean angle directly.
The circuit map is drawn from the track's real outline (OpenStreetMap), with your
actual GPS line overlaid on top — so you can see exactly where you rode, including
any GPS drift.
No data
This map is for display only
No GPS or lap-timer data was recorded for this lap, so there's nothing real to
overlay — no measured speed, acceleration, or lean angle.
What you're seeing is the track's real layout with estimated corner
positions — useful for reference, but the corner numbers and any coloring on
the map aren't derived from this lap's own data.
